What Cutline collects
Cutline uses Clerk to authenticate creator accounts. We store your account identifier, source filenames and video metadata, editing choices, captions, review decisions, worker registration and connection status, and publishing records. If you connect TikTok, we store its account identifier, authorisation tokens, scopes and expiry times, current creator options and publishing status. A worker pairing credential authorises your own device; keep it private.
How the data is used
We use this data to operate your private workspace, route work to your own Mac, render and review clips, prepare post details, carry out individually authorised publishing actions when the platform permits them, and report errors and processing status. We do not sell personal data. Signing in does not itself authorise a TikTok post.
Video handling
Source media, thumbnails and rendered clips in the public creator workflow are stored on your own Mac, not uploaded to Cutline cloud storage. Browser previews access that local worker through expiring signed links. When TikTok sending is available, only the exact clip you separately authorise for publishing is transferred to TikTok. TikTok then handles the upload under its own privacy policy and your selected settings. Downloading an MP4 does not send it to TikTok.
Storage and security
Clerk provides account authentication, Vercel hosts the web application, and Supabase PostgreSQL stores workflow and connection records. Access is scoped to the authenticated creator. TikTok tokens and application secrets are handled server-side, not returned to the public browser interface. Local worker configuration contains its pairing credential and should be accessible only to your macOS user. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Control and deletion
Use Settings to disconnect TikTok, or revoke Cutline in TikTok's own security settings. Use Local Worker to replace or revoke a pairing key. Cutline may require an active or uncertain upload to be resolved before changing its connection, to avoid duplicate or interrupted publication. Disconnecting does not delete your local media, historical workflow records or videos already on TikTok.
Workflow records remain available for your library and publishing history until removed as part of account-data handling. To request access, correction or deletion of Cutline-held account data, email [email protected] from your account email. Do not include passwords, pairing keys or tokens. We may need to verify account ownership. Local media must be removed on your Mac, and TikTok posts managed on TikTok.
